From the start of 1944 till the end of the war there served couple of Polish fighter pilots in the 61st Fighter Squadron, 56th Fighter Group, USAAF - unit known also as a Zemke´s Wolfpack.
It was Boleslaw Gladych, Tadeusz Sawicz, Kazimierz Rutkowski, Tadeusz Andersz and Witold Lanowski. They were officialy the guests.

The artwork shows view on Thunderbolts of two most succesfull of Polish pilots - Gladych and Lanowski. Both aircraft had unusuall paint scheme with personal markings.

Gladych during his duty in "Zemke´s Wolfpack" achieved 11 victories. His total WWII amount was 14 confirmed victories, 2 probably and a half damaged aircraft.

Lanowski in "Wolfpack" achieved 4 victories. Total amount was 6.
